How this works
Why the practice tests are free, and how we make money
The most common thing people say about a free practice test is that nothing good is free. Fair. Here is the arrangement, with nothing left out.
The deal in three lines
- Every one of the 775 exams has a free diagnostic. No account, no email, no card.
- If you want full-length papers and the full cited bank, you pay: $39.99 once for one exam, or a subscription for all of them.
- We do not run ads and we do not sell your details. The free test is the demo; paid access is the business.
What the free tier actually gives you
A diagnostic drawn across the exam's domains, scored at the end with a breakdown of where you were weak, plus the sample questions and their citations on every exam page. It is enough to know whether you are close, and enough to judge whether our questions are worth paying for. It is not a full paper, and we say so on the page rather than letting you find out at question twenty.
What paying gets you
Full-length papers built to the real exam's domain weights, the complete question bank with the regulation cited on each question, the explanation for every distractor, and the AI study assistant that knows which question you are looking at. One exam is $39.99, once, for life. All exams are $19.99 a month, $47.97 a quarter, or $143.93 a year. Teams are priced per seat on the team page.
Why we can afford to do it this way
The expensive part of exam prep is writing questions that are actually correct. We write ours from the regulation, cite it, and keep the citation visible, which means the free sample is also our proof of quality. A candidate who takes the diagnostic, checks two citations against the CFR, and decides to buy is a better customer than one who arrived through an ad. That is the entire growth strategy, and it only works if the free tier is honestly good.
What we will never do
- Publish a question we cannot cite.
- Show a rating that did not come from a real, paying account.
- Claim a pass rate we cannot measure.
- Put ads on the pages or sell the list.
